Behind the scenes

TD107 · curation notes

The AI is half the work. The other half is the TD107 team — what they shoot in the studio, how they grade per country, and which frames they cull before you ever see them. Here's the process, per-sample lighting notes, and the people behind the curation.

The forge process

01
Setup

10–15 selfies become a personalized AI portrait engine — precision-trained on enterprise-grade infrastructure. No prompt engineering yet.

Per-sample lighting & grade notes

Every portrait in the gallery above came from a deliberate decision — backdrop, key angle, grade. The team writes these up for every preset so the AI side stays honest.

Executive sample reference

Executive

🇺🇸 US Executive
shot ref · Vitaly Gariev

Navy suit, white shirt, navy tie. Soft front-key from camera-left, office bokeh held wide-open for that floating-corporate feel. Grade kept neutral — no warm push, so the slate of the suit reads true on LinkedIn thumbnails.

Creative sample reference

Creative

🇺🇸 US / 🇫🇷 FR
shot ref · Robbie Duncan

Founder-aesthetic: bald + beard + black crew on a grey studio gradient. Single key at 45° camera-right, weak rim from behind for shoulder separation. Skin texture preserved (no smoothing) — creative directors hate plastic.

Tech sample reference

Tech

🇺🇸 US / 🇰🇷 KR
shot ref · Lautaro Ramirez

Blue-frame glasses are the storytelling object — we keyed neutral grey so the frames pop. Smart-casual zip-up = IC/PM signal, not exec. Grade pulled cool-neutral; we don't warm tech presets.

Academic sample reference

Academic

🇫🇷 FR / 🇰🇷 KR
shot ref · Vitaly Gariev

Senior faculty energy: white hair, round glasses, arms crossed, chalkboard formulas behind. Straight-on for authority instead of the 1/3-rule over-shoulder. Light blue shirt instead of blazer — academic publishing prefers softer than corporate.

Editorial sample reference

Editorial

🇫🇷 FR Editorial
shot ref · Luke Jones

Single warm key from camera-right at low height — that's where the orange wash on the cheekbones comes from. Subject 3/4 turned for editorial intensity. Black turtleneck + rounded eyeglasses = press-kit author look. Grade is Portra-warm, vintage emulation.

Casual sample reference

Casual

🇺🇸 US / 🇫🇷 FR
shot ref · ihor

Plain white tee, daylight from window camera-right, soft fall-off on background. Eye contact close-up = approachable About-page. No retouch — the light stubble stays. Authenticity over polish.

Formal sample reference

Formal

🇰🇷 KR Business
shot ref · Luigi Estuye (LUCREATIVE®)

Check blue suit + black dot tie + pocket square. East Asian attention to coordinated detail. Round black glasses signal Seoul/Tokyo modern executive. Indoor casual backdrop (not studio sweep) keeps it lived-in. 3/4 turn lets the suit's checks read.

Creative Pro sample reference

Creative Pro

🇫🇷 FR / 🇺🇸 US
shot ref · Aiony Haust

Cinematic blue rim from camera-back + tungsten warm key overhead = the dual-gel look that drives editorial high-fashion. Subject straight-on, no smile, dark crew. Grade pushed cyan-magenta split-tone. Talent-agency presentation.

The team behind it

TD107 is the in-house Film & Photography group inside FORUM D&P. Roles are public; individual names live on /about#td107 and the parent forumdnp.com portfolio.

LP
Lead Portrait Photographer
Paris atelier base · 12-year career

Calls the shot list. Owns the FR Editorial preset and approves every Studio-tier delivery before it ships.

CG
Colour Grade Specialist
Seoul · DaVinci Resolve

Calibrates the 4 country presets against real-world reference shots. The reason KR Business and FR Editorial don't look like the same grade with a tint.

PE
Prompt Engineer
NYC rotation · AI portrait engine specialist

Tunes the per-category prompt suffix on every model update. Tracks which negative prompts actually kill plastic skin (most don't).

HR
HR Reviewer · Studio tier only
Executive recruiting background · 8 years

Final pass on Studio tier. Flags which shots will read well on a board-deck slide vs a LinkedIn carousel — usually different ones.

Watching real shoots makes the AI side feel less mystical. Studio reels and full preset breakdowns roll out as the TD107 calendar opens up — for now, the notes are the deepest cut we publish. See the team at /about#td107.

Outfit selection — what's next

Coming Q4 2026

Today, the outfit step is curated by our in-house TD107 photographer team. We're looking ahead to a richer outfit selection — but only on terms that keep the photographer team in the loop and the customer experience honest.

Curated outfit selection — preview

We're scoping a future outfit-selection step where each country preset offers a hand-curated set of wardrobe options, informed by the TD107 photographer team's on-set experience. Today, this is internal R&D — no live partners are named on the site, and no commercial commitments have been made.

  • Photographer-led — outfit choices stay grounded in what looks right under our lighting presets, not just brand affiliation.
  • Country-aware — the wardrobe shortlist follows the country preset (US Executive · FR Editorial · KR Business · JP Corporate).
  • No catalog yet — partner identities, pricing, and the broader business model are under GOVA review and will be disclosed only when contracts close.

Target window · Q4 2026 · subject to partner agreements

Backed by a real photographer team

TD107 · Film & Photography

HeadForge is not pure AI. The outfit libraries, lighting presets, and country-aware aesthetics are curated by FORUM D&P's in-house Film & Photography team (TD107) — working portrait photographers and videographers who shoot for real architecture and brand clients. They tune the look; the model handles the volume.
